In ongoing and recent discussions about energy and environmental impact, terms like "fossil fuels" and "petroleum" are often used interchangeably, but they denote different aspects of energy sources and applications.
Great explanation and breakdown especially for the people who chant End Fossil Fuels. They don’t understand the importance that has on everything. I’ve used the graphics of all the thousands of items used in everyday living and it shocks people. Saving this for anyone I think might take the time to read it.
Thank you for your reply and thanks for taking the time to read. I have a few more similar articles planned out for the near future. I think it's very important we do our best to educate others on this important topic!
Agree 100%. I am on the Advocacy Committee for my local Landman Association and I live in Colorado. There is a true need to educate the newer to oil & gas crowd about why working in this industry is something to be proud of. This state has been working hard to drive O&G out for years and this has pushed me to become more of an expert. I testified to our State government on the benefits of the industry, have been very vocal on the topic and I appreciate reading when others do the same. I also help publish a monthly newsletter for over 1,000 industry people educating on what's going on, what's important, et. I will use your words!
This is good to know. Are you familiar with Energy Strong there in CO? Also, are you familiar with the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance (DEPA) in Tulsa, OK? Or the Oil and Gas Global Network in Houston that has several different podcast shows? There's a few organizations out there advocating for our industry, but the more folks we can get talking about it, the better.
